Updates and Reminders:

1) Attached is our December calendar and on the other side is our December Kindness Challenge.  We have also sent paper copies home with all students.

2) We are looking for some carpenters for a few jobs around the school.  If you are interested please send an email to: megan.egerton@ocdsb.ca

3) If you have any extra lego we are the people to take it off of your hands.  Please feel free to drop off any unwanted Lego to Megan's office

4) We had our first student council meeting today and it was wonderful to hear from students from grades 1-6 about what is important to them.  We talked about our library renovation, recess, snow forts, activities and trips.  We will be meeting each month and getting their perspectives to also be shared at School Council too.

5) If you have larger sizes of skates or helmets we would love to have them as we prepare to use the Woodroffe Park ice rink.  Please feel free to drop these at the office.

6) Tuesday, November 29th is the Day of Giving - if you have any gently used snowsuits and/or winter boots, Hawthorne School is in desperate need.  Drop these off all week and we will take them over on Friday morning.

7) If you have changed contact information please let the office know as soon as possible.  This includes email addresses as many communications go out using email.

8) We would ask that parents do not use the staff parking lot for drop off.  The Church parking lot is available during bus drop off and pick up and any other time you are welcome to use our driveway.

Have a wonderful weekend!
